Airbus A320 is known as a highly automated aircraft. This time Pranas Drulis, ATPL integrated student at Baltic Aviation Academy, tried to prove it by showing how autolanding of A320 works in zero vertical visibility and 50 meters of horizontal visibility.

Sometimes aviation looks simple from the side of amateur. Marius Brazys, who has recently joined Baltic Aviation Academy at the Initial Pilot Training School (FTO), has an extensive experience in aviation industry. After the completion of Type Rating Training theoretical and practical course in the full flight simulator, the student-pilot must pass the Base Training - the special flight training program in the actual aircraft.

Luis Filipe da Costa Mora Feria Monica Teles, Airbus A320 type rating training student from Portugal, shares his interesting life experience before entering through the doors of Baltic Aviation Academy. The Airbus A320 pilot who soon will be responsible for flying commercial aircraft from point A to B, in the past has transported laborers to diamond mines. Student also tells more about type rating training process in Baltic Aviation Academy, execution of slots in Full Flight Simulator (FFS), and what is it like to make pilot studies in Lithuania.

Pre-flight inspection training is devoted to students in order to provide them with necessary information and knowledge to perform appropriate procedures during pre-flight inspection. The course is also aimed to teach how to manage technical log book according to official requirements. Practical training was executed at Vilnius International Airport. While exploring Boeing 737 aircraft pilots trained at BAA had to demonstrate their knowledge and skills acquired during the theoretical training.

During A320 Full Flight Simulator Opening Ceremony various companies’ representatives could experience what it like is to be trained at Baltic Aviation Academy. CRM courses brought strangers together. Volunteers could test-fly A320 and B737 FFS, try to extinguish fire in Real Fire Fighting simulator, as well as discuss about relevant topics in aviation world in the round table discussion,. The program ended by sharing impressions and rejoicing beautiful Lithuanian nature.
