By providing a chance to study ground course in most comfortable way (throughout CBT and web-based training), BAA composed a distant learning program, which student can carry out entirely by himself (take the self-study program). 

After getting the login details from BAA training manager or his air company training manager, a student may study aviation material at home or at the destination specially prepared to him by the employer, e.g. a classroom for distance learning, arranged by airline training managers.

The standard time for self-studying program is 5 days (Duration can vary on different aircraft type program). After finishing these 5 days lasting BAA training program, the student has to arrive to Baltic Aviation Academy, continue his studies here and take the final exam at the end of the studies. Instructors’ consultations, tests and additional material are also provided during the time in the training centre.

To ensure the self-learning quality, Baltic Aviation Academy has appointed the flight instructor, responsible for distant learning, as well as directed training project managers time and created an option to chat with them online for additional consultations. By these means, distant BAA program students do have an opportunity to consult with the professionals and get all the relevant information during the training centre working hours, disregarding the side of the world (Finland, Italy or India) they are.
