Preflight Inspection training
Preflight Inspection training contains theoretical and practical parts of aircraft inspection techniques and hints. The training is based on SOP regulations and complies with requirements and specifications for aircraft type.
Objectives of this course are to provide student with necessary information and knowledge to perform appropriate procedures during pre-flight inspection and to manage technical log book of aircraft according to requirements / standards.
Upon completion of this Preflight Inspection Training Program, the student shall understand:
- General rules of external inspection of aircraft;
- Aircraft maintenance components locations and general maintenance rules;
- Fuelling / defuelling procedures and filling up / dumping other liquids procedures;
- Rules and operations of cargo doors;
- Rules and procedures of Loading / off-loading cargo and baggage;
- Technical log book management requirements / standards.
Course elements:
The course consists of lectures, discussions, teamwork and practice. Preflight inspection training program consists of:
- Theoretical training (3 hours)
- Practical training (4,5 hours, on demand)
- Test (0,5 hour)
Theory:
- External inspection of aircraft
- Aircraft Maintenance Components
- Aircraft Fuelling Procedure
- Loading / unloading cargo and baggage
- Filling up and dumping water rules and procedures
- Maintenance log book management
- Test
Practice:
Practical Trainings are performed in the aircraft and student must demonstrate appropriate knowledge and skills that were acquired during Theoretical Training. Main objective of trainings is familiarizing student with locations of the aircraft maintenance panels and to demonstrate:
- External inspection of aircraft;
- Aircraft maintenance components locations;
- Fuelling / defuelling procedures and filling up / dumping other liquids procedures;
- Operations of cargo doors;
- Loading / off-loading cargo and baggage procedures.
