Ab Initio Pilot Training (FTO)

Today pilots work with complex electronic systems and computers and have to manage quite a flow of information and communication with the crew and teams on the ground. They are decision makers responsible for safety of many people. To become a professional you have definitely to start from beginning - ab initio.

Baltic Aviation Academy flight training organization (FTO) has designed a thorough ab initio pilot training program to develop the students up to the proficiency so that they may operate as co-pilots on single and multi-engine/pilot airliners in commercial air transport and continue their career in aviation. The program is designed for students having little or no previous flying experience.

We have different training models for obtaining commercial pilot license CPL(A):

Integrated training program is designed for students without experience and they start with ATPL(A) theory course along with the flight programs, from visual up to instrumental and multi-engine airliners training.

Module (theory) training program includes different training modules for certain licenses and qualifications. The students of the module program start with PPL and, upon obtaining the necessary flight experience, may continue with IR(A), CPL(A) module or ME (multi-engine aircraft) flight program.

Pilots holding PPL may obtain the license of the commercial aviation starting from ATPL (A) theory and continuing with flight training modules.

Pilot Cadet program

This is intensive learning program. In the shortest time possible, students will acquire profession and can start as commercial pilot. This program enables students to operate as co-pilot on multipilot, multi-engine airplanes in commercial air transportation and to obtain the CPL(A)/ IR license.

Airline Transport Pilot Course (ATP)

ATPL program enables students to operate as co-pilots in multi-pilot, multi-engine airplanes of the commercial air transportation and obtain the CPL(A)/IR license.

Private Pilot Licence Training Course (PPL)

The aim of the PPL(A) course is to train the students-pilots to fly safely and efficiently under the Visual Flight Rules (VFR).

Instrument Rating Training Course (IR)

The aim of the Instrument Rating IR(A) modular flight training course is to train pilots to the level of the proficiency necessary to operate airplanes under the Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) and the Instrument Meteorological Conditions (IMC).

Commercial Pilot Licence Training Course (CPL)

The aim of the CPL(A) course is to train pilots to the level of proficiency necessary to operate single-pilot single-engine or multi-engine airplanes of commercial air transportation and to obtain the CPL(A).

ATPL(A) Integrated Training Course - CPL, IR

The aim of the ATPL(A) integrated course is to train pilots to the level of proficiency necessary to operate as co-pilot in multi-pilot, multi-engine aeroplanes in commercial air transportation and to obtain CPL(A)/IR. The integrated program provides the uninterrupted training of all courses mandatory for ATPL(A).
