Baltic Aviation Academy News Overview
Baltic Aviation Academy participated in the Singapore Air Show 2012. Together with Avia Solutions Group the training centre had a booth in the exhibition. The academy representatives had a meeting with the representatives of the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) during which they discussed the opportunities to enter the Asia-Pacific aviation training market and covered the main requirements for the CAAS approvals. ’The trait that distinguishes Singapore aviation is its’ civil aviation administration, which is really helpful to training centres wishing to enter the market,’ said Dainuole Bartasuniene, Product Development Manager at Baltic Aviation Academy.
Baltic Aviation Academy has signed a new partnership contract with the Turkish airlines Atlas Jet. The agreement consists of line training package which enable pilots to gather 300-500 flight hours.
Type rating contract was signed with Estonian Air, Estonia’s national carrier. Contract content states that Baltic Aviation Academy will be the provider of their Embraer 170 (ERJ-170) type rating training.
The 3rd International Exhibition and Conference on Civil Aviation will be held on the March 14-18th in Hyderabad, India. The event is organized by Ministry of Civil Aviation, Government of India & Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry. Ab initio school at Baltic Aviation Academy expanded its fleet by purchasing three new Tecnam 2000 aircrafts. Single-engine aircrafts are expected to arrive in April and will be used for airline transport pilot license (ATPL) students’ flight trainings right away.
Baltic Aviation Academy has held a meeting with its partner Boeing. Both parties have discussed the 2011 year results and sketched further partnership conditions. Currently Baltic Aviation Academy operates full flight simulators through Boeing’s training centre enabling BAA clients to choose from a wide range of locations and aircraft types. Plans for 2012 include the avoidance of deteriorations, the expansion of the FFS network and lease costs determination.
Baltic Aviation Academy has issued a guide ’Welcome to Brussels’. The guide will help pilots find their way around in the city of Brussels and is available in English and Russian. Pilots trained at the BAA Brussels base are now able to get useful information on shuttle services, locations around the hotel, metro map, famous city places, etc.
