Avia Solutions Group Debuts on Warsaw Stock Exchange
Baltic Aviation Academy, a part of Avia Solutions Group, is happy to announce on March 3rd Avia Solutions Group began official stock trading at Warsaw Stock Exchange. The group was assigned ASG index. Avia Solutions Group is the first Lithuanian company to enter the Warsaw Stock Exchange. Furthermore, it is the first foreign company to be listed on the exchange in 2011.
“We are proud to be the first Lithuanian company on the Warsaw Stock Exchange. The step to the exchange is a proof of our company‘s business maturity and stability. We believe WSE is a favorable place to attract capital for the group plans. A successful initial public offering showed a considerable interest of international investors. „Baltic Ground Services“ started ground handling operations in Polish airports and received primary lincenses for activities in the Italian market. This also contributed to the increased interest in the company“ – said Board Chairman of Avia Solutions group Gediminas Ziemelis.
On February 11-15 ASG performed the initial public offering and made 1.473.333 stocks available to investors (around 25% of the charter capital). The company attracted around 65 million litas (76.61 million zloty) of additional investments.
According to the Chairman of the Management Board, during the initial public offering of company’s stocks the demand exceeded the supply by three times.
The Warsaw Stock Exchange is one of the largest in the Middle and Eastern European region and is considered to be the fastest-growing exchange in Europe. More than 400 companies of the Middle and Eastern Europe, representing energy, finance, and other business sectors, offer here their stocks to investors.
