Baltic Aviation Academy Starts ,,Bombardier CRJ 700/900“ Type Rating Training
The aviation specialists training centre Baltic Aviation Academy (Lithuania) added Bombardier CRJ 700/900 type to its Tape Rating training list and has expanded its’ trainings for Bombardier aircraft capabilities, as initially have been offering Type Rating Training for the CRJ 100/200 family.
Bombardier CRJ-700/900 is the larger variants of the successful CRJ100/200 regional airliners series produced to help Bombardier compete with larger regional aircraft such as the Embraer E-Jets family, Fokker 70/100 series and the BAe 146/Avro RJ family.
From a technical perspective and the cockpit both Bombardier series have a lot in common however the regional jet aircraft line has been expanded from the 50 seat (CRJ100 and 200) to the larger for 70 to 90 passengers designed aircrafts. It also means some good news for the travelling basketball players – previously having some forum comments that tall passengers have horrible sensations of being cramped sardines on the Bombardier CRJ, the Bombardier CRJ-700/900 aircrafts are more comfortable and roomy.
On September 25, 2010, Delta Connection Flight 4951, a Bombardier CRJ 900, made the world news. On a passenger flight from Atlanta to New York CRJ 900 made a successful emergency landing at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York City. The plane's right landing gear did not deploy and the right wing dragged along the runway during the landing. The plane landed safely with no injuries reported and one man embracing a pilot with a bear hug, spotted the CNN.
Baltic Aviation Academy reminds to choose your type rating training partners responsibly and claims to finish the year 2010 having nearly doubled the number of the types of aircraft the pilots are trained to manage.
Next to trainings for Boeing 737-CL, Boeing 737-NG, Boeing 757, Saab 2000, Saab 340, ATR42/72 aircraft, this year Baltic Aviation Academy has introduced a new the initial pilot training (PPL) programme as well as new types of trainings for aircraft, such as Embraer 145, Bombardier CRJ 100/200, Bombardier CRJ 700/900, Airbus A320, DashQ 8 400 and Boeing 767.
