Zero Flight time training (ZFTT)
Zero Flight time training (ZFTT) program allow already experienced pilots to convert to an aircraft type of similar characteristics to that already operated, solely by the use of full flight simulator.
Approval for Zero Flight time training (ZFTT) can only be given on Air operator request. The Air operator has to comply with the Appendix 1 JAR-FCL 1.261(c)(2) requirements.
ZFTT can be conducted on Air operators request for the pilots who have required experience, according Appendix 1 to JAR-FCL 1.261 (c)(2), on a multi-pilot turbo-jet transport category aeroplane or on a multi-pilot turbo-prop aeroplane having a MTOM of not less than 10 tonnes or an approved passenger seating configuration of more than 19 passengers.
ZFTT course can be performed for a multi-pilot turbo-jet or turbo-prop transport category aeroplane type, which is included in JCT “Baltic Aviation Academy” TRTO certificate.
During the ZFTT complete the six take-offs and landings has to be made. Consideration of varying conditions should be given, for example:
- runway surface conditions;
- runway length;
- flap setting;
- power setting;
- crosswind and turbulence conditions;
- MTOW and MLW.
